Jay Randolph and Earl Anthony bicker about the cough button during commercial break. These two covered many telecasts together during the 90's.
This is the full telecast from the 1991 PBA Toyota Classic which aired on NBC on October 5th, 1991 in St. Louis at Tropicana Lanes.
The qualifiers were: John Mazza, Joe Firpo, Mark Williams, Danny Wiseman and Richard Wolfe.
Pretty cool to see a telecast in a place I have bowled before.
Now that is truly a non-push-away (Wiseman)
Great post…and excellent quality!
great post.. I wish every telecast did that split profile of all the bowlers
thanks
What ever became of Wolfe. He was a great bowler?
He is now 47 years old and still looking for tour title #1, though he may have given up by now as the PBA Tour website only has stats for him through 2010/2011. Despite never winning, he’s won nearly $350,000 in winnings over his career.

Loved hearing them talk about the “new” synthetic lanes. I was living in Slidell, LA at the time and the 2 bowling alleys in town both had wood lanes, but there was an alley in Mandeville (20 miles away) that had synthetic lanes. It was definitely a welcome change when I ventured that way to bowl. 🙂
Welcome? I hate synthetic.
Wow!! The right hander playing up the gutter (Wiseman) and the left handerS (Wolfe, Mazza) playing FOURTH ARROW. Also……the NFL on NBC promos featuring OJ Simpson.
Great post!!
Oooooh, the Brunswick Phantom!
Bought one and couldn’t give it away probably because of the lack of drilling knowledge.
Why was Pete Weber suspended?
Probably substance related.
sometimes in life… things change,,, in my life those things be human or career will have its end.. Good Bye my relative… God Bless
I never knew the PBA was on NBC. I always thought ABC showed it.
