A good trick I like to use when I don’t have tools is to spin the ball on the table until your oil track line is spinning roughly parallel with the table. Place your tape directly on top of the ball and it’s usually pretty close to your PAP.
Why does PAP matter?
It’s used to help determine the ball motion
