  1. Love the videos, but it would be nice if you had another camera off to the side a bit so we can see the ball motion. πŸ‘

    1. Yeah, got excited about the topic but seeing what they are talking about is a must for tips

    2. I’m going to add my concur to the list here as well. This could have been such a good video if we didn’t have to stare at Brad’s butt the whole time. Lol

    3. My guess is that they attempted to film with a second camera angle and had technical difficulties with the footage.

  2. I’ve been having trouble as a 2 hander at league recently, the oil is so heavy and such a long pattern that I can’t get anything going.

  3. Kind of depends on the day at my home alley. Some days there’s more oil, some days it feels like there’s none lol. Typically I go with my Hyped Pearl but I’ve had days where I’ve been able to use my Gem for all 3 games and just adjust.

    1. The other night I was able to use my Nova all night and never move. Feet on 30 throwing across 20/middle arrow. (Two handed right)

  4. Really like your tips! Heading to Vegas for the open championships on the 6th and 7th. You guys have helped me out alot with your content keep it up!!!

  5. The ball I trust the most is my Brunswick Danger Zone HPD. I just shot 300 2 weeks ago, on house with that ball. I typically like playing straighter because I am ball speed dominate. My break point down lane is around 7 or 8.

  6. My house shot is more on the drier side and I had been using the Brunswick Uppercut and Brunswick Igniter up the 7 board but recently switched to SPI and now playing more in the oil and now have an Altered Reality, Helios and just got the Zen Soul the other day but haven’t tried it yet. The Altered is a little strong on most days at our house but the Helios is very controllable.

    1. I have the uppercut and I use it for really dry lanes. Anything with oil and it just never gets good traction.

I had a Paradox Red that was phenomenal on fresh house shots, and even some easier challenge patterns, but it decided to split in half, so I’ll be replacing it one day.

Currently, my go-to ball to start league is the Track Precision, then switch to one of my two Brunswick Fire Pearl balls.

    2. @Charlie Odom I had my Uppercut at 3000 and it would work out around the 7 board but not inside. I hit it with 2000 just before ‘retiring’ it and it had a little more traction but then I switched to Storm products so haven’t used it since but I liked it. I would start the night with it then switch to the Igniter in game 3

  7. House shot killer WAS the Spectre but now I’m mostly throwing the Idol Helios and then the Hyroad Pearl when the fronts burn up.

  8. Great video, guys! As a low rev bowler my go-to house shot ball is my DV8 Thug, and I’ve bowled well, but that was while I lived in Arizona. I’m now in the DC area and I’m struggling on these patterns. I’ve since added a Black Widow 2.0 which has been fun to throw, but inconsistent on lanes as they break down. I ended up adding a Rhino (Red) to help on dryer lanes, and so far this has helped.

  9. Hey guys love watching your content! The house I throw at can either hook way too much or not enough! And I throw my moms old bowling ball haywire and i freaking love that ball! I shot 675 series this past Wednesday in my league and I’m pretty sure that’s my highest series there! And my average was a 194 I’m sure it’s a 200 now if I can keep it there would be super awesome! I’m normally a 180’s average bowler! I know I’m capable of keeping it a 200 average so we definitely shall see! Can’t wait for more vids love ya guys! 😁❀️🎳

  10. I’ve been liking the hysteria with pin down. Nice and controllable, similar to my purple hammer but without pissing people off. πŸ™„

  11. Great tips as always. I’ve been bowling great with my phaze 2 in summer league. I’m currently at a 180 average (and to think I had a 150 average on Sundays last season). Thanks for all the tips you guys give to help us amateurs get better. You guys are the best! ❀️🎳😍

  12. Great video guys. I always share them with my league team mates.
My best go to ball is a wreckem, I don’t know what it is, but it works well for me in the house shot

    1. I’ve gotten my highest score with a wreck’em 246, as a middle aged women who had only been bowling about 6 months.

    2. @machine thesun Hi,
I have been bowling for only 4 years and have had two chances for a 300 and both with this ball, of course choked both times on the last ball. Lol

  13. My favorite bowling ball for house shoot is my Zen Master I bought it at the ball demo I bowl a 776 with it my higest series I ever bowl and its helps I’m throwing a better my average before i bought the ball was 195-198 and after I bought it my average was 210 is my average for next year.

  14. Thanks for the great videos guys. I just recently went from 15lb HighRoad to a 14lb Pitch Black and got things under control and my average went up about 35 pins.!!

  15. House shot balls – Storm Electrify Solid, RotoGrip Hustle Camo, Storm Intense Fire, Brunswick Cutting Edge Pearl – Mid-level balls mostly for league season. Summer Season is a here and a we are bowling on Sport Challenge Shots – Last week was 52′ oil — this week 34′ Stockholm oil pattern , changes every 3 weeks – Super hard but great training for THS season πŸ˜‰

  16. For the longest time I had a pretty nice 1-2 punch for house shots in the Evil Siege and Strike King, two retired Brunswick balls. The Evil Siege was super aggressive but shaped things out nicely too. But if there was nothing but sandpaper out there I could ball down to the Strike King. Unfortunately, both were too heavy for me and I injured my elbow tendon throwing them (as well as everything else that was either 15 or 16 lbs).

I’m trying to recreate what I had tho. Just got a Black Widow 2.0 which after seeing some other bowlers throw it looks eerily familiar to what my Evil Siege looked like. I got a Game Breaker Asym that does some nice work when it’s dry. Both balls 14lbs, can’t afford to throw heavier equipment as I go into my 40s.

  17. So just watched this right before practicing on my local house shot. Started out throwing my Phaze 2 (an original from when they first came out) and felt it was a little strong; lanes definitely weren’t fresh even though I’m a lefty. I balled down to my 9 year old iQ Tour. I was working on getting my rev rate up and throwing it pretty hard and was pretty inconsistent (172-212-181). Got it going and stayed clean the fourth game for a 233 and then out of nowhere shot my first 300 ever the last game (and I’ve been bowling for over 40 years)!

I generally dismiss my iQ Tour because it is such an old ball and is a “weak” ball to begin with, but clearly it was the right ball today for the condition. I’ve thrown games that were technically much better than the 300, but I had a ton of area and was getting great carry (and it helped that I was bowling by myself and on one was watching :)).

  18. Favorite house shot ball by far is the Zen. Super controllable and hits so hard. Love the videos fellas. Very helpful since I started bowling on sport shots and pro patterns.

  19. Great video! My go-to ball to start out with in league is my Axiom, drilled with the pin next to my ring finger. I play up 10 with a bit of speed… to blend out that built-in cliff. πŸ˜„

  20. What a perfectly timed video! Just changed my league night arsenal to Hyped and Hustle. Hustle Camo at 2000 abralon, Hustle Wine, Hyped Hybrid at 3000 abralon and Hyped Pearl, the ultimate house shot killer. I kept winding up using the Pearl and Wine every week, often in the first game on a 42 foot light oil house shot, so I put away the aggressive balls for now.
