@Ronald Hickland Jr reading the rules that the guy above you sent, it says it can’t be altered once scoring starts. That sounds like it’s okay to do before throwing your 1st competition scoring ball
@izzem correct but you may not have thrown a ball for score but the guy 20 lanes over did. So you sanding on your ball then would be illegal. Hence the reason I worded it the way I did.
Hey Ronald, I bowl once a week in league, I’m a slower lefty. Currently rolling conspiracy theory. If my line isn’t working that night should I sand this ball or experiment on my older balls? I’m afraid I won’t get the service back to where it was out the box for normal nights.
I always enjoy soaking in your knowledge! I notice everyone in the video is sanding there balls like it’s the plague, what keeps them from doing this at home before they show up to the alley? And are they hitting the balls with ball cleaner after the sand job? The balls look cloudy but I’m guessing it’s just the way it looks after the sanding job. And lastly, what is next after this tournament. Is there a certain pad or polish that the ball needs to be hit with if heading to a different house after this tournament?
They could have done it at home. Most waited until they were at the center to confirm that they needed it. Using a cleaner afterwards would be the best way to insure having a clean surface. Choosing the proper surface is a function of what you are Bowling on and how you throw it.
Tru Cut makes a 120?
That is crazy!
CtD makes 80, 120, and 220 grit pads along with the more common 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, and P5000D pads.
Awesome good info concerning lane conditions and what you can do before or after to your bowling balls… 👍🏽😊👌🏽
120 grit on a prism solid? I have a prism solid. That cover is a sponge, he will grip early and often.
Ron those are some great pads. Have a bag full of them myself. But I didn’t know you made them below 500.
Yes they are available in the website ctdbowling.com
Are yoy allowed to alter the surface after practice?

@Ronald Hickland Jr Ok. Now see that’s a different way of looking at it. Thanks. I usually clean my ball when there’s 1 minute of practice left

You should spend some time and understand surface and how to use it to your advantage. Yes you can get the surface back. Check this out. https://ctdbowling.com/blogs/news/an-understanding-of-sanding-and-bowling-balls
Ron, wouldn’t the surface burn up energy early?
Not when you are bowling on 50 ml of oil.
Carl Jay without surface, you might as well call your reactive balls plastic.
Ron— I’ve been waiting on your review on the UFO, the only opinion that matters to me lol
I like that ball it hooks a lot and is a traction motion.
why would you not clean it after you sand it??

Great! Thanks for the feedback Ron!! Cheers!
Was that Osku in there?
Yes
Just ordered my travel kit of the ctd hopefully be in by sat with the 2 day shipping. Do u not clean them after sanding?
Yes you should clean them to get any of the excess debris off of the ball.
Could you polish your bone during tournament play or is it the same thing with sanding that it’s only and after
Before and after only
I just got a Hammer Black Widow drilled finger tip in really good shape from a Good Will for $5.
Josh lewis and that damn no rules 😂😂😂
I’m curious. Were they sanding their bowling balls?
Because of the lane condition required that.
It’s so quiet!
I’ve bowled there before
Would like to see these super sanded balls roll. Is there a link to this event.
It’s come a long way from the scotch brite pads we used in the 80s.
