Are you going to make a video comparing the pitch purple and the hammer purple?
Hir0 VaJ just search in The Bowling Fix, they have pitch purple vs purple hammer

I didn’t realize just how close you could get to the urethane shape with the short pin. Pretty cool. I think I’m gonna try it on a Web Tour.
I use a short pin black onyx Vibe every week in league. It allows me to play from the one board all the way to at least 30. What a revelation it was for me to realize a year ago that I had a ball this versatile in my bag. I don’t really need anything else as long as the house doesn’t drastically change the shot.
Remember when the guy with reactive equipment got dirty looks for ruining the shot?
So an edit suggestion if you can .. show the 2 you have but show an intimidator with a “regular” drill to show how tame it is.
Do you recommend it on an asymmetric over symmetric?
What about urethane short pin duh?
You should compare an asym and sym both short pins. To a bowler, what is the difference between making a ball not flare much when one has built in asymmetry and the other doesn’t.
What would the layout be in the Vector layout system?
Any suggestions from storm roto grip line to try a short pin to pap
Hershel Jones I have a short pin Physix and it is very very good. I can play 12-8 as a two hander (480 revs 18 mph). Actually shot 801 with it a couples months ago, 279 242 280.
IQ Tour without a doubt. Mine kills.
Gonna get a Pitch Black with a short pin. #whynotboth ?
So getting a spare ball then?
That was your best 1
I like the fact that you can drill a reactive ball the same to react as a urethane ball 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
People think theyve made reactive close to urethane type motion by using layouts but how about a 250+ game !q tour😂now thats even closer lmao
Urethane all day, plays defense also and messes all the dumb bowlers up hahahahah YEOPPPP!!! LOVE MY PURPLE HAMMER!
Hi Scotty,
I have been struggling using urethane balls when the lane transitions.
Can you please help. You have a lot of experience.
Can you break it down for me. How to make adjustments I would really appreciate if you or anyone who is reading this share their expertise.
Thank you so much!
@Onesongperweek I’d have to see you bowl to really give you some good help. In a nutshell, practice playing lines where nobody else is. When they transition and everyone is playing up the middle or going across lane, try playing way way outside and slow ball speed. The purple hammer or pitch purple will blow your mind playing outside. That is what these balls were built for.
Next time you compare these two would you mind doing it on a 32 or 33′ pattern?
I can tell you made this video for the higher rev bowlers. Still a very good video.
I’ve had guys ask me on league about urathane, I ask them “are you a higher rev player?” Most of the time they are not. I tell them “then you dont need a urethane ball ” unless it’s for spares or extremely dry lanes. Majority of us can use a reactive ball drilled for length and backend.
I still use my OG 1990-1991 Ebonite Turbo (Red) Urethane for 3rd game in league! No weight block inside, so no matter how I roll/throw the ball it always rolls over the Thumb hole!!! hahahahaaa wub wub wub wub! 🙂
I short PIN drilled the blitz awesome with urethane on my pair my shot got better there’s got worse you have to move two boards at a time I would have known to do that with out you Lee did it for me his shop is my house keep the info coming
Urethane all day. I’ve been nothing but urethane since 1984, when AMF ran a TV ad stating you had to have an Angle. Yea….You heard me, there was actually an ad on TV for bowling balls and it wasn’t just on the bowling tv shows.
I was part the city team winner and then returned the next year to win city singles. But Everybody was bragging how I was losing pins per game because of Urethane. So I took lessons that summer season and tried resin for a whole year. That was the worst year ever. I was a once-a -week bowler, usually at 218-220 on a reverse block…
I needed my 1st 7 of that year…. 705 on week 32 for the 200 average for the year.
Hi Dave,
I have been struggling using urethane balls when the lane transitions.
Can you please help. You have a lot of experience.
Can you break it down for me. How to make adjustments as you see the ball is hitting light or if the ball is hitting heavy on the pocket. I would really appreciate if you or anyone who is reading this share their expertise.
Thank you so much!
